FAQ

What is the difference between gel X and acrylic?

 - Gel X is a soft gel tip that comes pre-shaped

- They are applied by gluing on with a gel adhesive and cured with a uv/LED lamp.

- They are also lighter and more natural-looking.

- Acrylic is made by combining a liquid monomer and the acrylic powder to form a paste that then hardens at the right temperature.

- it is sculpted directly on the nail (with forms or tips)

- Acrylic is harder and more rigid, and also feels thicker and heavier.

What is builder gel? â€‹

Builder gel is a thick, strengthening gel used to add structure, durability, and support to the natural nails. It's cured under a UV/LED lamp and can be used to reinforce weak nails, create a slight extension, or build an apex for a smooth, long-lasting finish. Builder gel gives a natural, lightweight feel while helping nails grow and be stronger with proper maintenance.

Are these services better for your nails? â€‹

Whether gel nail products are better for your nails depends on how they are applied, cared for, and removed. This also depends on the nail tech and how they are prepped. Gel products ( like gel polish, builder gel, Gel-x, hard gel) can be healthier for you natural nails than traditional acrylics. Gel is less rigid than acrylic, so it bends slightly with your nail instead of pulling and popping off. This meaning less lifting, less stress on the nail bed, and more of a natural feeling. All removals are by soaking off and making sure to car for the nail under the products!
